A Healthy Lifestyle is Health Care

I think insurance of all types has served to remove or cushion the sense of personal responsibility off of the individual and placed our potential liability into a pool of collateral damage.  I'm kind of wondering with all the big storms and insurance claims in the past several years, if ACA isn't going to put our health in jeopardy to bail out the insurance companies for replacing our "stuff!"

This Obamacare or Affordable Health Care is not going to be changed any time soon in Washington.  Congress has no motivation to change it, since none of them are stuck with it.  The only way to "combat" this Affordable Care Act is to get healthy and remain healthy outside of dependence upon the system.  We've got to stop giving our individual control to people who do not have our best interest at heart.  Our Creator does have our best interest at heart, and He's given us instruction for our health.

Here are some good basic ideas for a healthy diet.  Increase your intake of vegetables, lean meat and eggs.  Avoid processed foods.  Consider fast food, cigarettes, and energy drinks to be in the same category: Unhealthy!

When you do have a health issue arise, consider an "alternative" course of action. Many of the modalities we consider to be "alternative" have actually been around since Bible times and have served people well throughout the centuries.  Keep in mind, modern medicine is called "modern" for a reason.  Modern medicine may be keeping many living longer, but few are living healthier!

Doctrinal Debates

Primarily this particular section has been used to downplay medicine, medical insurance, and ACA a.k.a. Obamacare.  I'm going to take this opportunity to invite our readers to consider a different approach entirely.  As Bible believers weigh in on everything from Duck Dynasty to NDAA, to the origins of Christmas; perhaps it's time to really see what the Bible has to say about our health care.

Exodus 15:26 states this:
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of YHWH thy G-d, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am YHWH that healeth thee.

Even most folks who choose to believe the Torah is obsolete do quote the Prophet Isaiah and believe it is a reference to Messiah.
53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Scripture speaks of a good king that was very pleasing to YHWH, except in one area of his life.
And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to YHWH, but to the physicians.  And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.  II Chronicles 16:12,13

Many have stated that Messiah referenced physicians and he did.  He said those who are whole need not a physician . . .then asked, "Wilt thou be made whole?"  The word sick in the KJV is translated from a Greek word meaning "miserable."

The word pharmaceuticals is also from the Greek.  Every reference to sorcery in the book of the Revelation has the root word pharma

Since Romans 8:28 tells us all things work together for good to them who love YHWH and are the called according to His purpose.
Perhaps this Obamacare mess is a wakeup call to believers to stop masking our misery with pharmaceuticals and repent from the same mistake made by King Asa.

Testing 1, 2, 3 Thousands . . .

It's been years since I saw the very quick vision of the hospital lobby and a casino.  The realization is obvious.  Neither stay in business with winners!  The lighted signs alone ought to give great indication that Casinos do not keep the lights on, entertaining winners!

The hospital lobby in which I saw this flash was newly remodeled with the bistro styling.  A sort of coffee bar against the wall with a few tables and chairs to replace the usual waiting room furniture.  A huge semi-circle where folks sat to offer directions and answer questions was on the wall facing the doors.  What really caught my attention beyond the bistro glitz was the tinted windows.  I had walked in to this place on a sunny spring day, but once inside, the windows all gave the appearance of an overcast day . . .

Big businesses do not stay in business without selling their product.  A casino "sells" the chance to win big!  Hospitals don't sell health, they sell tests and pharmaceuticals.  Those high tech computerized instruments aren't cheap!  I started to write, "don't grow on trees," but the knowledge of good and evil did grow on a tree, after all.

Our Creator doesn't need high tech equipment to tell us what's wrong or to heal us.

Birth is Not a Medical Issue

This article touches me and I simply want to share.  I have been literally appalled at the medical industry in the handling of pregnancy and childbirth.  Deliveries have been "scheduled" through regular office hours, rather than those "inconvenient" night time and weekend arrivals . . .

As more of us move away from "modern medicine" and return to the plan of our Creator, it only makes sense that birth would be a great place to start.  Life and death were never intended to be in the hands of humanity.  Pregnancy is not a medical condition and birth is not a medical procedure, it is life!

Chicken Pox and Shingles

I remember getting the chicken pox after my Dad had contracted shingles.  It's been a known fact for nearly 50 years, at least; that the two were of the same or related virus.  Has one vaccine, now triggered yet another problem?

Context, Cost, and Care

Controlling the food is obviously a way to control the people, but health care is truly sheople control.  In America people are so afraid of death, they will submit to all sorts of invasive procedures.  Since pediatricians have been intimidating young mothers for three generations, the programming is now firmly entrenched . . .

The fact that this quote was in an article in the finance section of yahoo news, is troubling yet illuminating.  I haven't yet gained the insight to know whether this is:
A. the back handed move for a single source of health insurance in the US.
B. a new choke hold on the insurance commission
C. the realization that this plan is completely underfunded
D. truly poor leadership
E. or really precise planning for calamity.

What I do know is, this public claiming of responsibility and acknowledging the citizen's loss of trust isn't really taking responsibility or earning any trust.  From the time it became trendy to acknowledge a mea culpa, irresponsibility truly became socially acceptable and sadly, applauded.

>>>Obama, for his part, made clear he would continue to fight ongoing attempts to sink the whole program, saying, "I will not accept proposals that are just another brazen attempt to undermine or repeal the overall law and drag us back into a broken system."

For a fuller view of this debacle the link to the article is included.  The President's statement just truly caught my attention in that he has no regard for the old broken system.  For something to be broken, the implication is that it once functioned.  Our President, on the other hand, is determined to build a new system that doesn't work from the beginning!

Self Medicating

I'm really not sure why the term "self-medicate" is used so negatively.  I realize it's associated with addiction problems, but there are a number of people addicted to prescriptions that are written for them, so why the derogatory inference?  I self-medicate.  I use legal substances, but I do self-medicate and I'm not ashamed of that.

I have herbal tinctures, topical analgesics, salves, oils, wine, and a couple of recipes containing alcohol, 1 for colds and 1 for pain.  I don't use anything regularly, except red wine in the evening.  Everything else is used temporarily for a specific injury or problem.

When I left "medicine" and no I wasn't a practitioner, I was a patient, a.k.a. guinea pig.  Keep in mind, there is a lot of legislation in place to protect animals from laboratory tests.  Not to mention, everything the FDA recalls or bans, it at one time approved.  I understand there are class action lawsuits all the time over medication side effects.  Yet I digress . . . When I left mainstream medical care, most people with my diagnosis were on at least 8 prescriptions.  My last hospital stay, I was sent home with 13 prescriptions, and while four of them were acute medications, for the exacerbation; the rest were intended to be maintenance meds.

I realized then, I was at a cross roads, even if it wasn't a spiritual conviction!  There is no cure for the disease I have and there was no functioning on that many medications!  That's no life!   Self-medicating is so much more manageable and the side effects are virtually non-existent.  I will admit, however; enough alcohol to try kill the pain in my broken arm did leave me feeling a bit impaired, which is why I came up with CHINICREEN, a topical analgesic for pain that was bad to the bone . . . that was breaking through my skin.  I don't want to go through life impaired, just comfortable when possible!

Since I don't medicate regularly, it doesn't take much in the way of natural remedies to positively affect my situation.  I admit, that my legs don't work as well as they used to and MS spasms are miserable, so at the end of day, a couple of glasses of red wine do ease the spasms and I can continue working.  I work at home, so driving is a non-issue.  Our Creator gave each of us a body for which we are responsible.  More addiction problems stem from chemical dependency than natural remedies.  When considering the origin of the term self-medicating, it becomes self-explanatory.   Perhaps it's time to take a different look at self-medicating, and consider when addiction is a psychiatric diagnosis of it's own, self-medicating may actually be the responsible choice.

Insurance

Let's discuss insurance for just a moment.  Health insurance isn't really that, at all.  Health insurance is a good diet, exercise, rest, and following a health plan.  The label health insurance is like life insurance, it doesn't pay until there is no health or there is no life and it never pays the one who is covered on the policy.  Perhaps if we used the actual terms we'd get a better grasp.  What our politicians are forcing on us is "sick insurance." While what we call life insurance is actually "death insurance."

With that insurance fact established, doesn't it seem that insurance, especially health insurance is really like a wager against being healthy?  Doesn't it seem like a lack of faith?  I realize we have mandated insurance on cars and mortgaged homes, but that's insurance on money and material possessions.  Car insurance is just that, it's insurance to replace your car or one of some else.  Mortgage insurance is to pay off a mortgage in the event the house is no longer livable, so you don't have to pay for something you can't live in.  Most people do weigh out the value between full coverage and state requirement according to the age of their vehicle and the replacement cost.  It's all figured on money.  But health insurance doesn't replace health and life insurance sure won't keep you breathing.

Although health insurance is really just about money also, it shouldn't be.  Health is about people.  It truly seems to me that medicine has already lost or laid down it's power, ages ago.  Medicine seems to serve two purposes now.  It is an arm of control for the government and sales and distribution for Big Pharma.  It is funded, however; by insurance.

Signs, Signs, Everywhere Signs?

I couldn't help but notice a similarity to two symbols that I find quite troubling.  Obama's sign, and yes, he does have his own symbol and the Prison Health Care Corporation.

that is gaining contracts right and left.  Here I thought it had been the Republicans who were making money off the privatized Prison Industry, but clearly I stand corrected.  Corizon is headquartered in my state, and the way I discovered this troubling aspect of health care were of course the complaints.  Even UPWORTHY, which is pure Progressive promotion had nothing good to say about this Corporation.

If the new health care plan for the rest of us is as wonderful as what I've heard about this Corporation, I'll be more than happy to pay the fine to avoid the whole mess.
The Prison Industry is big business in this country, and I now see why one of the allowable exemptions from Obamacare is incarceration.  If I'm reading the signs correctly, "The Powers that Be" have you in or out!

So, at the risk of sounding like a Conspiracy Theorist, could this be the "O" in the New World Order?

Not Tested on Animals

By now, we should all be aware of what this statement is truly saying.  When new products are presented, especially in beauty products or health and pharmaceuticals, and the statement "not tested on animals" is on the label, that means it's tested on people . . .

For a time, folks could actually sell their bodies for testing, or I guess rent their bodies to a lab for certain studies, but it would seem as the economy tightens, the drug tests are becoming more lax, or the patients themselves are the guinea pigs.  That has also been going on for some time with subsidies for new pharmaceuticals, but the patients were aware of the risk.

The following articles seem to indicate greater risk is being taken in the trials . . .

Speaking Out Against Wrong

The religious transplants have learned a new Hebrew word, and frankly, I'm sick of it.  Since I use the term, "sick" seems the best place to write about it is here in medicine is not health care.

Lashon hara is directly translated "evil tongue."  It seems disagreeing with some folks is construed to be speaking evil and now we have gossip lumped in there, and even referenced to those who are posting some alternative news, as well.  Who knew there'd be as much religious judgment on the web as the local gathering?  The difference?  It's 24/7.  That's right even the Sabbath keepers have plenty of opinions to post.  I've been guilty of sharing my opinion on Sabbath, myself, yet I digress.

Back to this "evil tongue" or "speaking evil."
Flu shots go in this category, as far as I'm concerned, well actually I include all vaccines, but that's an observation for another article.  I want to address flu shots and our choice to listen to the statistics of choice, because I believe that is where the evil truly lies.

Statistically, over 6,000 Americans die daily.  That is over twice the number that died on 9/11 . . . every day.

The CDC gives some interestingly vague flu statistics  that really seem much more like lashon hara than prevention.  But then, again, I'm an alternative news source and herbalist, not to mention religious fanatic!

According to the CDC only five to twenty percent of Americans contract the flu through the average flu season.  I realize we have two schools of thought from here.  There are those who say, without the flu shots, the numbers would be greater and those who say, the shots don't really change the stats, as the flu season is simply inevitable.

There is one set of stats, however that are chosen to be ignored and those are the stats regarding sudden death after receiving a flu shot.  The article below actually states in no uncertain terms, that a fatal reaction to a flu shot is automatically considered so rare, it is not even considered.

http://vaxtruth.org/2012/01/death-by-flu-shot-7-year-old-receives-flu-vaccine-dies-4-days-later/

Ruling out potentially vital information is not lashon hara, I suppose, but calling attention to the fact that it is withheld, is not lashon hara, either.

A New Twist in the War on Drugs

Medicine is not health care, it's a part of law enforcement, here in my neck o' the woods.  From what I understand, what used to be a simple over the counter cold symptom medication is a main ingredient of an illegal substance known as "meth."  So, to address the illegal manufacturing and use of meth, the over the counter medication is regulated.  I truly think a lot of the War on Drugs, is not so much about health or addiction as it is to reduce the competition for Big Pharma.  I have definite doubts about any authority that places a concoction made of household cleaning chemicals and cough syrup in the same category as an herb.

http://www.newstalkkzrg.com/Pseudoephdrine-Law-Cutting-Meth-In-Joplin-/17437106

The federal laws were added to the USA Patriot Act when it was signed again at some point.  Most states have laws to regulate this, as well, some quite stringent.  Of course, there will always be one more way to make something that isn't good for you.  As health care becomes more and more governmentally regulated through law enforcement and now the health care mandate, what happens to free will and choice about our own bodies?

I'm not suggesting that we ignore amateur chemists who harm themselves by cooking up poison to put in their bodies, but where do we draw the line?  How much government control do we want to make sure everyone does the same thing, either by moral conviction or by coercive mandate?

Psychotropic Medications

Realizing the same statistics can be used to say all lone mass shooters had mental issues, therefore needing the psychotropic meds, or as some are wondering, are these mass shootings triggered by side effects of psychotropic medications?

My guess is, we'll never know, because psychiatry is a very lucrative business that never actually has to produce results.  A doctor may or may not care one way or the other, but good results for the patient are attributed to the psychiatric care or medications and bad results for the patient are because the patient didn't cooperate or take their meds.  WIN/WIN for the mental health industry with the potentially LOSE/LOSE for the patient.

This last shooter did give many signs long before this happened.  As I read the article at CNN, one of the investigators stated that no detail is too small . . . The man made many large glaring statements, or loud cries for help before this tragedy occurred.

In a Nut Shell

With elective surgeries on the rise, and the complications that can ensue, as well as long term prescriptions to mask or alter the symptoms of chronic problems, rather than actually implementing a change of lifestyle, medical treatment is skyrocketing.

That's the real reason for the Health Care Bill.  Medicare and Medicaid run in the red.  Now that many of the unemployed and underemployed are using ERs to replace primary care physicians, the funding has to be mandated.  Forcing the intimidated citizens to find insurance or pay a penalty will increase the available proceeds of the general insurance fund.

How those proceeds will be distributed remains to be seen, but there are two facts that will prevail.  The people who know how to get around the system will get around this mandated system as well.  The people who cost the most and are already insured, may even pay more, but they will not change their lifestyle toward actual health improvement.

We are an unhealthy society that has the Instructions.  We simply choose to seek a sorcerer to mask the symptoms of the diseases of Egypt.
Revelation 21:8 uses the term sorcerer, for the Greek word:  Pharmakeus, which of course bears the root word for our English term pharmacy.

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of YHWH thy Elohim, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am YHWH that healeth thee.

Marketing for the Money

Just as in the case of viagra, Metoclopramide produces very marketable side effects, which are now labeled as results.  Viagra is only a risk to the one who is taking it, whereas metoclopramide is risky both for mother and baby.

Has Anyone Else Noticed?

I couldn't help but notice the number of dialysis clinics popping up all over the area.  There are approximately 1 clinic for every 10,000 people in many states.  That seems, suddenly, excessive.  Many that I have spoken with in regard to needing dialysis began with "treated" diabetes as well as blood pressure medications.  I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV, but there is a serious correlation between failing health and only managing symptoms, which is what medicine does.

A change of diet and lifestyle is all that will improve health.  Prescriptions for the most part, only manage symptoms, and unfortunately carry with them, side effects.  Many prescriptions now, are prescribed as long term symptom management maintenance, so the side effects of long term usage really isn't understood.

Our bodies were not created to process poison to manage symptoms of poor health.  Diabetes and High Blood Pressure are both lifestyle management issues, and the poison used to manage these problems, over the long term cause other problems, primarily with the kidneys, although other organs can be affected as well.  At the first discovery of diabetes, a change of diet and exercise is immediately "prescribed."  Often, with these changes, accompanied by weight loss, medication is not needed, but if lifestyle changes do not occur, oral medication is usually prescribed, ultimately leading to insulin injections later.

Our society's ill health is based primarily on poor diet, inadequate exercise, and dependency upon pharmaceuticals for symptom management.  There is a better way!

New FDA Label

FYI
We need to remember, every medication that the FDA bans or requires new label warnings, once had the approval of the FDA as it was, before the ban or new label.

Health Scare

I came across some interesting information recently, that I simply have to share.  For several years now, staph has become an issue for many people who have some sort of inpatient procedure done.  They go in for whatever surgery and end up with a staph infection.  Now, there are many reasons given for why this happens, but it so far hasn't stopped anyone from subjecting themselves to this potentially fatal disease.

As the plagues and pestilences continue to gain momentum in our society and around the world, we need to be aware of some things.  The medical industry actually protects itself from a number of liabilities by requiring patients to sign authorization and treatment forms.  There are a number of "exclusionary what ifs" that people sign in agreement stating the risk is on them, and the facility will not be held accountable.

The diagnosis of HIV is still protected, meaning a medical professional can be HIV+ and you don't have the right to know that.  The truth of the matter is, the server at the restaurant can be HIV+ and it would be discrimination to not hire them, but we realize there are chances we take every time we interact in public.  It's in medical treatment that we continue to be very vulnerable, yet trusting, even after the statistics indicate we have reason to be alarmed.

There is policy in place now that actually instructs patients to use certain chemical precautions before submitting to surgery in the facility, in an attempt to minimize the possibility of staph or MRSA.  Now some say this is such a wonderful precaution, but we don't consider the fact that staph and MRSA are super bugs because of the previous precautions taken.   We are literally creating and mutating bacteria by the overuse of antibiotic and anti-bacterial chemicals.

Medical facilities are not where we obtain health and let's face it, they don't stay in business healing people, but treating people, repeatedly . . .  Much like the casinos, the winners aren't keeping the doors open and the lights on.

Something to Consider

. . . While we still can think clearly.  Have you ever wondered about the rise in Alzheimer's and dementia?  For a time I just attributed it to people living longer and it was inevitable that the brain, being an organ, would give out just like a heart, or any other organ.  I truly thought it was just a matter of genetics, diet, and lifestyle in the early years that determined which organs gave out first.  Add to that an extended life expectancy from artificial means, and you're bound to have more cases of everything in an aging population that isn't really healthier at all, but rather; preserved.  "Better living through chemistry," as the saying goes.

What I hadn't taken into consideration until about twenty years ago, was the devastating effect medications can have on our thought process and memory.  I never considered how much of our aging population was taking medications that really had not been tested in long term use, because these drugs simply have not been in existence long enough to know the long term effect.

Over the counter drugs are, in my opinion, highly over used.  Because they are obtainable without prescription, many people consider them to hold no long term effect.  We simply do not really know the potential.  Then add to that, the drinking water that contains pharmaceuticals along with memory altering chemicals and we may have a better understanding of the increase in Alzheimer's and dementia.  The increase in cases may be a simple line of cause and effect from the chemicals we ingest over the years, believing them to be harmless.

Think About It

Medications come with dosage instruction for a very good reason.  Most chemical medications are poison.  The base theory behind a prescription is to kill a bacteria, quash a symptom, or dull a pain.  The purpose of medication is destruction, and the hope is the destruction of what ever the target will improve the health.  Interesting premise, I say.

We accept that chemo therapy to treat cancer is truly poison aimed at killing the mutated cells of the tumor before the tumor takes over the organ in which it is located, and hopefully without killing too many normal cells.  Chemo-therapy is considered the "big guns" of the pharmaceutical industry, but the reality is, all prescriptions are chemically based therapy, thus; chemo-therapy.

I entered the term Chemo into my WordWeb dictionary and this is what I found.
Chemo:  The use of chemical agents to treat or control disease (or mental illness)

Here is the definition of the therapy from the same source.
Therapy:  (medicine) the act of caring for someone (as by medication or remedial training etc.)
ex:  "heat therapy gave the best relief"
I found it interesting that the example of the use of the word wasn't based upon medication at all, but simple practicality that has worked for years.

Of course, natural remedies can be misused and abused, and we know there are some poisonous plants, but unlike pharmaceuticals, the majority of herbs and plants are not toxic.  With nearly 100,000 deaths a year from medication errors, it is only logical to consider whether or not we truly want to use poison in our health care.

Potential Side Effects

It seems, here in America, we all need a cause to be intense about, be it for or against!  I believe we were created to be passionate about our beliefs.  The G-d of Israel created some amazing remedies for humanity, as well as given instruction that we could simply be healthy, but humanity came up with other ideas.

If you want to feel strongly about something, I suggest you read the possible side effects of some of the packages in your medicine cabinet.  Granted, some of the possibilities are very improbable, but statistically speaking, before you take something or give it to your child, how many people have already taken it and not been affected?  It's worth asking?  Say, the weird side effect only affects one in 10,000, but what's to say, the law of averages haven't come due?

We also know that most of the testing is cherry picked for results, so are we taking more risks than we should for instant symptom management?  The short answer, I believe is, yes.  Taking medication doesn't usually change one's habits or even one's health, it just masks or manages the symptoms.  Although, I don't use the same vocabulary and writing style, as is used in the article I'm linking, the information is quite interesting.  Also linked is a video by Gwen Olsen, a former pharmaceutical rep.

More Control

First, I make no bones about it.  I'm a full figured woman.  I've had a weight complex since before I was four years old, and I wasn't even overweight then, but I listened to enough comments that it truly did become a self-fulfilling prophecy, and now I simply don't care.  I eat healthy, I'm more active than women half my age, and I like the way I am.  I don't want to lose any significant amount of weight.  To get to the real heart of the matter though; this article isn't about me, it's about the decision that will rule and control and have Americans living in fear.

I'm wondering, since the AMA has now determined that obesity is a disease, if there isn't a Big Pharma that has finally come up with a weight management pill.  We'd be looking at billions upon billions for a profit margin, and just imagine the kick-backs!

To call obesity a disease means doctors, insurance, and now government mandate will have even more control in the life of "we the people."  So, will this be the avenue to some sort of medicare plan for the elderly obese to receive forced care or allow them to die with dignity when the disease is termed incurable?

Next, we have to address the fact this will now play into insurance coverage in group plans, because since it is a disease now, that means surgeries that were not covered by insurance, now will be.  Statistically, every group of three has 1 obese member, so we are looking at outrageous premiums as mandated insurance goes into place in the near future.

Both of these issues don't hold a candle to my real concern.  How many children are going to end up in state custody because their parent's are "neglecting" this medical condition?

OTC - Over the Counter (Other Than Comforting)

I haven't taken an over the counter pain reliever or anti-acid in over 12 years.  I can't really imagine needing one anymore.  I remember over 20 years ago, it seemed I had a fully stocked medicine cabinet of all the over the counter products for whatever ails us.

That was also back in the day that I had regular prescriptions for some fairly serious issues, like ulcers and multiple sclerosis.  The ulcers have finally gone away, the MS is not so easily dismissed, but back then it was only symptom management anyway, and all these years later, there is still no cure, but there aren't all those manufactured chemicals in my bouncing around and off of each other any more.

I have herbal remedies for various complaints now, all legal!, but I also realize it doesn't take as much to alleviate pain when I'm not on regular medication.  Just like anything else, our body will get used to what we put in it, before we just kill it.  So back in the day of prescriptions for this and that and over the counter products for the rest of this and that, that the prescriptions didn't address, my body had a lot to process.  My body is not the exception to that rule.  I hear people every day speak of actually taking prescriptions to address side effects of other prescriptions, and yet they continue to do it.

Keep in mind, every manufactured chemical is something foreign to our body.  I've included two links that shed far more light on this presumption of safety because it's readily available without prescription, but everything we put in our bodies affect them.

When They Become Mandatory, I Have to Wonder

Flu season has virtually come and gone this last year, but I hear more and more people concerned about looking for another job if flu shots become mandatory. I don't blame them. I've had doubts about flu shots long before I disavowed medical science in favor of faith in G-d. Flu shots have just never made sense to me. I mean, everyone has that one flu horror story from way back when, that is supposed to justify fear and panic now. I just don't buy it. There are a number of ordinary precautions we can take to reduce the risk of contracting the flu.

The influenza virus is not usually fatal to healthy people. As a matter of fact, healthy people tend to stay healthy by a healthy lifestyle and diet, rather than chemical injections. Let's consider for a moment, where one goes to get a flu shot. Whether it's a doctor's office, health department, or pharmacy, the odds of being close to someone who is carrying a virus are exponentially greater in those particular environments.

I think the fact that they are becoming mandatory and the strains predictable is what truly causes me to tighten down my tin foil hat when it comes to flu shots.  "They" say, and I think "they" and "the powers that be" may be one in the same and if not, one supports the other, yet I digress.  The formula for the flu shot vary each year and yet are quite similar.  "They" combine three potential strains in some sort of tempera medium and then amazingly, the flu shot is comprised, supposedly of the ones going around that winter.

Two things stand out to me in this and that is first, if they can predict which ones are going around, how do we know what's going around isn't "launched" from the lab?  I'm not saying the scientists in the laboratories are evil and trying to make us sick, but I am saying Big Pharma Corp doesn't make money off of healthy people.  The second thing that concerns me is the fact that most flu vaccines are grown in an egg based medium while "bird flu" continues to hold the potential to become life threatening if the human and bird strains ever mutate.  I'm no scientist, but the human flu virus in an egg medium would seem to be the perfect environment for mutation that direction.

The reasons given in this article are enough to keep me away from a flu shot, but if you'd like to read more, here are  10 Reasons.

Interesting Read . . .

I saw a link to a praise report by a man who claimed he G-d gave him a miracle healing through a change of diet and natural supplements in an article entitled Prostate Cancer - Stage 4

It begins like many things with a bit of a medical history leading up to the poor prognosis then a testimonial.
I couldn't find this anywhere in mainstream media, but I didn't find the Monsanto march either, so I did a people search and found this man to be now, 63 years old.

I am not offering verification, but simply information for those who may choose outside of traditional medicine. Since our "farmacist is in" article for this week addresses the subject of detoxing and this article also included dandelion root tea, I suggest we all consider that before faced with a horrible diagnosis with a dismal prognosis.

The testimonial begins:
My name is John Curry, I am 62 years old and I live in Duncan, Oklahoma. I’m telling my story in hopes that it might save you some time, money and misery.

I’m not too good with time lines, but I figure it was about two years ago (around October 2010) when my back began to hurt. I found that I would be standing in line at Wal-Mart, or the post office and suddenly I’d have extreme pain in my left hip. I went to the chiropractor several times but got very little relief. On some occasions, the pain was so bad that I was reduced to crawling on the floor, or using a walker or a cane to get around. (Full Story)

Disease Prevention

Included in this article is a link with some pretty amazing claims. Although I cannot speak with certainty regarding specific illnesses or damage already in existence from previous poor habits, I do know any change toward healthier eating and activities is going to improve the quality of life.

We do know a healthy diet is foundational to a healthy body. Most of us also know, medications are not curatives, nor are they actually healthy for the body. Most medications are poison and when it comes down to life threatening diseases, many of those medications will actually attack the cells of the body itself, hoping to kill and eliminate the unhealthy cells before the healthy cells succumb to the disease or the treatment.

Most approved cancer treatments are quite toxic to the body, but the hope is the treatment will also be toxic to the cancerous cells.
There is not a medication on the market that doesn't also come with warnings and possible side effects. Keep in mind, just because side effects are not apparent, it does not mean there is not a detrimental effect on the body at some level. Our days are numbered and the best way to be healthy through those numbered days is disease prevention through healthy habits.

Medicine doesn't repair the damage done by an unhealthy lifestyle

Prescriptions

Most prescriptions are poison, that's why they are regulated by dosage. If it isn't natural, your body was not created to process it.

Pills can Kill

Fear of death is truly keeping many people bound to the very thing that just may be lethal.

The Hospital Plague

The rider on the palor horse is crossing the earth and we are beginning to see the evidence. Many are waking up to the fact medicine is not health care. Medicine is sick care and medicine is falling behind. I'm so glad to see others finally questioning and possibly linking vaccines to auto-immune issues and autism. It's a shame there is so much illness before we wake up! Next on the list of health care is hospitals. Through the years we've heard about various infections following a surgery or hospitalization, but those used to be isolated incidents. Now, it's practically expected to need some sort of treatment for a secondary issue that was contracted through the hospitalization. I still can't believe a civilized society has found the most bacteria laden environment, teeming with infection to bring little babies into the world. Why are babies born in hospitals? I'd think the only place with potentially more bacteria would be a Corporate Poultry Farm. http://news.yahoo.com/hospitals-see-surge-superbug-fighting-063400543.html Our vaccines have toxins, our hospitals are loaded with germs and bacteria, and now we're creating super bugs by doling out anti-biotics like candy. We wonder why our health care costs are so expensive and our standard of health is so poor? Medicine is not health care. Proper diet, exercise, and rest is health care and our Creator has said He's our healer. Medicine is sick care!
